About us

We write about IT so your team doesn't have to figure it out alone.

Ping is the editorial blog behind Atera's autonomous IT platform. We turn support questions from IT teams and MSPs into friendly, practical guides.

Our story

Atera builds an all-in-one IT management platform — RMM, ticketing, patch management and AI agents like Robin — used by IT departments and managed service providers around the world. Along the way, our support and product teams kept hearing the same questions: what actually is RMM, how do we cut ticket volume, is our patching actually keeping us safe?

Ping exists to answer those questions properly, in plain language, for our own users and for anyone else trying to make sense of modern IT management and AI-powered support.

What we believe

  • Plain language beats jargon. If a concept needs an acronym, we explain the acronym first.
  • Practical beats theoretical. We'd rather give you a checklist you can use today than an overview you'll forget tomorrow.
  • Editorial independence. Our guides reflect what actually helps IT teams, not just what promotes a specific feature.

Who writes Ping

Articles are produced by the Ping editorial team, with subject-matter input from Atera's product, support and security teams. We update articles as tools, threats and best practices change.

The platform behind this blog
